Therapy Director
Sara graduated with high honors from the University of Central Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences before completing her Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She was fortunate to complete a clinical internship at the Arnold Palmer Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic where she realized her passion for providing physical therapy to children. She has spent her career in pediatric home care, working closely with children and their families, with many different types of diagnoses and abilities including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, chromosomal abnormalities, seizure activity, torticollis, and orthopedic deformities such as scoliosis.
Sara values communication and collaboration with other health-care providers and physicians, including physical medicine and orthopedists, orthotists, and assistive technology practitioners, and takes specific interest in assisting families obtain and use adaptive equipment and bracing to provide greater independence to their child. She enjoys promoting self-confidence and self-advocacy for the children she provides therapy, and creates an expectation of progress and continued growth for the family as well.
As the Therapy Director for TLC Pediatric Therapy, Sara strongly believes in an interdisciplinary approach among the team of therapists and facilitates this in providing therapy services, for the benefit of the children and families served. She is committed to understanding the process of authorizing therapy services and utilizing resources in the community to ensure that all children and family’s needs are met. Sara enjoys participating as a volunteer for the Autism Society of Greater Orlando and is a former board member for the Spina Bifida Association of Central Florida.
