Allison Allen – Physical Therapist

Allison Allen

Allison is a pediatric physical therapist with over 25 years of experience working in all areas of the pediatric population. She was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome at 15 years old; this illness and subsequent time spent recovering many motor skills is what led her to want to pursue a career in physical therapy.

Allison graduated from the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 1999 with a B.S. in PT. She began working at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center after a rewarding clinical internship there. While at LeBonheur, she worked in all areas, including inpatient, outpatient, orthopedic floor, neurological floor, ICU, SCU, burn and wound care center,? and as the lead PT in the level 3C surgical NICU.

Upon moving to Pensacola, Florida in 2007, she spent 11 years in the pediatric outpatient setting working with children from birth to 22 with developmental, neurological, and orthopedic diagnoses.

She spent the past 7 years as a school-based therapist working closely with school staff to support educational goals and access to school setting. Now with a recent move to the Orlando area, she joins TLC as therapist in the natural environment with a desire to help patients achieve their best developmental outcomes.

Allison enjoys building lasting relationships with the patients and families she treats and always says that “I learn more from my patients than they will ever learn from me”.
